This is how we calculate the tax for imports
When you want to import a Ford, Fiat, Volvo or Audi, we calculate the registration tax by looking at a number of factors. Our starting point is what a car of the same type costs on the Danish market. And, of course, we always follow SKAT’s guidelines when calculating the registration tax on imported cars. You can help us to be more precise in our calculation by giving us as much information about the car as possible. If your dream car for import, for example, a Ford, Audi, Kia or Mercedes, has an equipment list or extra equipment, please let us know.

We make sure to get you out driving your imported Mercedes, Audi, BMW or Kia without delay. We ensure that the car is taxed so that you have permission to drive on Danish roads and that you are issued with a number plate at either YUPEX or an inspection centre near you.
